Alan Wake 2 Update Adds A New Ending and New Game Plus
Remedy Entertainment are releasing a new ending forAlan Wake 2and new game plus this week. The mode adds an alternate ending and a more challenging nightmare level amongst other additions. The title picked up three awards during The Game Awards 2023 last week and revealed that “The Final Draft” update would be going live onDecember 11th.
Remedy has hinted that The Final Draft will create more speculation and theory crafting for fans of the game. In addition to New Game+, players will also discover further lore in the form of new videos and manuscript pages. Players will also keep all Weapons, Charms and character upgrades earned during their first playthrough according to the official blog post.

The new Nightmare Difficulty won’t be for the faint of heart, as “intensified enemies” will plague players requiring “strategic gameplay”. Expect “adrenaline-pumping” gameplay that will push players to their limits. Your unlocked weapons will appear in the first shoebox available.
In case you missed it, Alan Wake 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the hit horror survival game of the same name. In this continuation, players get play as a new character Saga Anderson who is an FBI investigating the mysteries of Bright Falls. Don’t worry if you haven’t played through the first game (although I would recommend it as it’s a fun thrill ride) as the studio has made sure to make Alan Wake 2 welcoming for newer players.
Alan Wake 2’s The Final Draft will also come with numerous bug fixes and tweaks for performance optimisation. The full patch notes will be available alongside the update at 10 AM PT on Monday December 11th.
