One of the most exciting rooms to find inBlue Princeis the Drafting Studio, which allows you to add a new, exotic room to your drafting pool permanently. These rooms all have interesting and unique effects that can be a serious help to your day on Mt. Holly.
Blue Prince: Every Outer Room, Ranked
The best rooms to draft outside of the mansion in Blue Prince.
Not all of these rooms are created equal, though (in fact, there are some that we wish we had never selected in the first place). We recommend knowing which rooms are worth it before you make your next pick, since this room is such a rarity to come across.

8Dormitory
I’m getting senioritis
At the bottom of our list is the Dormitory, a dead-end bedroom that gives the player 10 extra steps each time they re-enter the room after drafting a drafting-type room. Yes, the room does usually contain a small item or a chest, but it’s rarely that helpful.
Traveling all the way back to this room every time you draft a drafting room (which are already rare) is almost never going to be worth it when considering the steps it would take to get there and back again. Unless you’re going for a bedroom-heavy run or need the steps, we tend to avoid the Dormitory when drafting.

7Classroom
Maybe you shouldn’t stay in school
The Classroom only lands above the Dormitory in our eyes because of its ability to let the player redraw rooms while drafting from inside of it. Of course, that’s not saying much, since there’s only one door to draft from once you have entered the room.
The Classroom is tied to a puzzle in which you have to draft it 8 times in one day, which is only possible when using the Schoolhouse (or serously messing up your drafting pool). Having completed that puzzle, we honestly wish we could get this out of our pool permanently.

What is all this gunk on the floor?
The Dovecote is a nice room to occasionally come across when drafting, but actually serves very little purpose when you actually place the room down. When you draw the Dovecote, you can freely rotate all three plans in your drafting screen to lead the most optimal way for your day.
Even if you change the rarity of the room, it’s still pretty hard to come by. And, since it takes up one of your three slots in the drafting screen, there’s a good chance it won’t even be able to serve its purpose.

Too rare to die
Not only does the Solarium contain a puzzle box with an allowance token inside, but it also makes the player more likely to draw unusual and rare rooms while drafting.
This is a very helpful dead-end room during the main game, but in late-game scenarios, it can actually be a bit of a burden (since you may start to change the rarity of rooms you don’t want to draft to show up less).

4Clock Tower
Time is the key to the equation
The Clock Tower is a dead-end Tomorrow room that gives the player one key the next day for every Tomorrow room they drafted on the day the Clock Tower is drafted. Starting the day with a fresh batch of keys is the perfect way to treat yourself with some self-care on Mt. Holly.
Blue Prince: All Safe Locations and Solutions
How to find the combination to all seven safes on Mt. Holly.
We’ve also found some pretty rare items up on the top of the Clock Tower, and have found the Stopwatch to be an especially common spawn at the top of the stairs. Just be ready for a long climb.
3The Casino
What happens in Mt. Holly…
The Casino is a fun way to make some extra cash (or other currencies) when exploring Mt. Holly, and even gives you a good bit of extra spending cash to start out with when you enter it.
The roulette table (which can only be used once a day) is the best game to play by far, as it can award you keys, gems, stars, and even allowance tokens if you bet big and win big. And if you’re curious about the broken slot machine, maybe you should try finding a new lever to replace the missing one.
2The Vestibule
What’s behind door number one?
The Vestibule is basically a better version of the Passageway. Not only is it a four-door hallway, making it great for drafting as you move forward into the house, but it can also be used (theoretically) without having to put a single key in any of the doors.
When you enter the room, all the doors will shut themselves, and one will randomly be chosen to be locked. With three unlocked doors, you can easily leave and comeback to reshuffle and move through the doorway of your choice, saving you a ton of keys in the northern part of the house.
1The Kennel
Puppies!!!!
Our choice for the best room plan to pick in the Drafting Studio is the Kennel, which unlocks all the doors in any room that you dig up a dig spot in. This makes the shovel (which is already one of the best items in the game) even more powerful, allowing you to open a ton of doors at no extra cost.
We love the dogs because they’re adorable (but unfortunately can’t be pet at this moment in time), and also love being able to open most doors for free when drafting the Root Cellar, which exponentially increases the number of dig spots that appear in the house.
