Debuting a brand new trailer featuring the pixel art style action-RPG ANNO: Mutationem at ChinaJoy 2019, developer ThinkingStars shows off gameplay from the title.
ChinaJoy 2019 ANNO: Mutationem Trailer Shows Pixel 3D Cyberpunk Action-RPG
ChinaJoy 2019 exhibition showed some of the latest titles from theChina Hero Project. This project is to support Chinese studios to develop games for Playstation. ThinkingStars is one developer that is under this collective and showed a new trailer for their upcoming game ANNO: Mutationem. The developers behind this title are a mix of veterans and fresh faces in the console gaming industry.
Set in a futuristic Cyberpunk world, ANNO: Mutationem is done in a pixel art style but with 3D elements which could be described as voxel.
Watching the trailer you’re able to see a number of different scenes including jumping from moving vehicles to hack ‘n’ slashing bosses, ranging from beasts to robots. It kind of looks likeDeath’s GambitmeetsCyberpunk 2077with lightsabers. A side-scroller with some open world exploration.
What’s interesting is according to thePlaystation website, they have used “the famous open-sourced work series ‘SCP Foundation’ in the world of ANNO: Mutationem” where people from all over the world could input their creative ideas.
From the abandoned ruins of a former giant city to the bustling street in the Metropolis. The developers of ANNO: Mutationem hope to provide a refreshing combat experience and rich exploration in the world of ANNO: Mutationem.

According to an article byGamespark.jpthat coveredANNO: Mutationemat BitSummit 7 Spirits which took place in Japan in June, it should be releasing on Playstation 4 in 2019. Other platforms are also planned.
