Today, EA and Codemasters have officially unveiled EA SPORTS F1 22. Dropping the full year from its name, EA SPORTS F1 22 will encompass everything about the 2022 Formula One season. This includes the newest Hybrid Cars on all of the circuits on the 2022 calendar, including the latest Miami circuit and the inclusion of Sprint Races for the first time. New regulations will also be incorporated that are seen in this year’s Formula One season as this leads to the unpredictability of the actual season.

EA and Codemasters are also introducing F1 Life, which is a new feature that puts unlockables into a customizable hub. These unlockables include collecting supercars, clothing and accessories that are all earned via gameplay, Podium Pass and the in-game store. Race day will also be redefined as players have a choice of Immersive or Broadcast options. These will affect formation laps, safety cars and pit stops. Going with Immersive means that players will face risk-reward challenges that can be the difference between a podium or outside the points. Broadcast will take the pressure off with controlled and authentic cinematics.
