After a slight delay, FromSoftware has finally rolled out Update 1.02 forElden Ring: Nightreign, unlocking the long-awaited duo mode.
You Can Now Tackle Nightreign as a Duo
The multiplayer spin-off originally launched with just two ways to play (solo or in teams of three), but with this new patch, players can finally jump into raids with just one other partner.
As previously promised,Update 1.02introduces duo raids, giving players three gameplay options: solo, duo, or trio.

You’ll find the new option underExpedition Type, now renamed toNumber of Playersfor clarity.
Just like the solo experience, enemy difficulty scales to match the new two-player format, keeping things fair without dumbing down the challenge.

Interestingly, game director Junya Ishizaki admitted before launch that the mode was initially left out simply because they overlooked it. He assured players they were working to patch it in, and now, they’ve delivered.
