Starfield Reaffirmed for First Half of 2023 Launch

Yes, Elder Scrolls 6 is in pre-production and, you know, we’re going to be doing Fallout 5 after that, so our slate’s pretty full going forward for a while. We have some other projects that we look at from time to time as well.

While Howard didn’t go into detail on a timeframe for Fallout 5, he did share that in terms of what they wanted to do they already have “one-pager”. The Fallout franchise is “part of our DNA” he expressed, meaning this will be a major game and he wished he could get the game “out faster”. It could be some time before we hear more on the game as Starfield went into production in late 2015, now 7 years on, the game will finally launch.

As forElder Scrolls 6, it was announced back in 2018, with a very short teaser confirming its actual existence. However, it’s full steam ahead for Starfield, which wasdelayedto the first half of 2023. Recently Bethesda had adeep dive into Starfield gameplaywhich looks to focus on gun combat and will have a thousand planets to encounter.

Starfield has already been confirmed to be a console exclusive for Xbox Series X|S and also coming to PC. Elder Scroll 6 also looks to be going in the same direction, as Xbox head Phil Spencer has commented in the past aboutXbox exclusivity, so the same may go for Fallout 5.
