One ofPath of Exile 2’sgame-defining features is its boss design. Some of them are easy, while others are challenging, but you can bet that every single one is unique in its own way, especially the main or pinnacle bosses. However, players gripe about these boss fights as they are too “punishing” because it is tedious to farm, and one mistake can be a little costly in both time and currency.

Path of Exile 2’s Patch 0.1.1c Preview

While there are some minor bug fixes, here are the biggest changes on patch 0.1.1c:

Players have complained that having only one portal to Waystones or bosses has been too punishing since the beginning of early access. Farming the materials to fight a boss takes a lot of time and resources. When players finally get the materials for the boss encounter, losing the boss fight is more irritating than challenging.

Most of it is because of one-shot mechanics in boss fights. For players to learn about these mechanics, they need practice to fight the boss, and it isn’t possible if you have to farm for hours for the materials every time you lose. The added portals will give players a reasonable number of retries to either learn the boss or defeat it immediately.

Previously, they have made the change of adding more portals or retries for the Arbiter of Ash boss fight. Now, they are adding this feature to the other bosses mentioned above. We can now only wait for them to add the same feature for Waystones or maps.

In a way,Path of Exile 2’s endgame is slowly transitioning more and more to Path of Exile 1’s endgamebecause of these changes.

Apart from the additional retries or portals for the pinnacle bosses, they also add minimap icons for Strongboxes and other league mechanics. These icons will be visible regardless of how far away you are from the stationary or ongoing league mechanics like Breach and Expedition. Overall, these are all nice changes, and players can’t wait for the next big content patch, which would be 0.2.
