Ghosts are a Guardian’s companion inDestiny 2, but during the events ofThe Final Shapeexpansion, some of these protectors of Light become lost until you find them. During the"Alone in the Dark"quest, you are tasked with locating and repairing a Ghost who has gone missing. This Ghost can appear in several possible locations that are good to know if you plan on repeating this quest.
“Alone in the Dark"is a quest you may complete multiple times for rewards, making it a great way to farm powerful gear and weapons orprogress the Pathfinder system inDestiny 2. This mission takes your character to the Pale Heart, an important area withinThe Final Shapeexpansion. Finding the lost Ghost is the first step in the quest, with additional objectives later leading to rewards from Micah-10.

Where To Find The Lost Ghost In Destiny 2
Search Within The Lost Sectors
As soon as you reach the step in the quest that asks you to find the lost Ghost,three Pale Heart Lost Sectors will appear on your map. These glowing circles in the area indicate the possible spots where the Lost Ghost could be. Use yourcustomized Ghost inDestiny 2to scan a Lost Sector as you approach it until you receive a message telling you your objective is close to where your character is exploring.
The Lost Ghost during"Alone in the Dark"can show up insix different objective locationsaround the Pale Heart. There are two possible spawning spots for the Ghost in each major region of this area’s map. Here’s every place where the Lost Ghost could be:
Lost Ghost #1
Forgotten Deep
Next to the trunk of the massive tree in the boss room of this area.
Lost Ghost #2
Underwater in a small pool beside a large tree in the room with a statue.
Lost Ghost #3
Blooming Deep
On a thick branch of a large tree right before you reach the boss room in the area.
Lost Ghost #4
At the edge of a small platform’s ledge below a tree branch. You can reach this Ghost by jumping down to the lower parts of the area.
Lost Ghost #5
Broken Deep
To your left when you drop into this area after dropping from a vent. The Ghost will be in between two large air flow machines.
Lost Ghost #6
On a walkway near the ceiling of the corridor covered in ice before the final boss room.
Each of these Ghosts is not a separate companion, they are all the same one that Micah-10 sent you out to find for the mission.Only one Lost Ghost spawnsin one of the above locations, but it could be in a different location every time you repeat the quest. Unlike collectibles in other missions, such as theStarcats inDestiny 2, this Ghost should not be too hard to track down since your map gives you clues for this objective.
The Lost Ghost is easily spotted by an orange glow acting like a beacon for you to identify. Once you find the lost Ghost, you will have several other objectives to complete during the"Alone in the Dark"quest inDestiny 2if you want to claim some rare rewards.
