The long-awaited Paradise system inLost Arkis finally upon us, and with it comes a whole new slew of content to participate in. It’s something that anyone can into, new or veteran players alike, as it’s supposed to be equalized gameplay, meaning three years of vertical and horizontal power has gone out the window. With this, you’re essentially tested on just how well you know your class, but before this, you need to obtain better gear. That’s where Elysian comes into play.

Lost Ark Paradise Guide: Crucible

The second stage of the Paradise mode, go head-to-head with a big bad boss.

Preparing for Elysian

The first stage in this three-part process, Elysian isn’t too dissimilar to Chaos Dungeons, but much quicker and isolated to a single location. When you first load into the Paradise menu, you will be greeted with this tab, with Lv. 1 accessible and the rest locked out until you unlock higherCrucibledifficulties. It’s important to distinguish that you only need to unlock the Crucible level that corresponding to the Elysian level and not actually have to complete it.

You will be granted 5 attempts per week to attempt Elysian per character. There are ways of increasing this number, with Crucible first-time clears granting you a +1 ticket, along with the newly introduced Azena’s Blessing granting you an extra entry every week.

Gearing System

Elysian is the mode in which you will be grinding for new and better gear. If you look to the right of the menu for Paradise, you will notice “Legacy of Paradise” which displays six new gear pieces:

Each will start at level 1 at the beginning of the season, and it’s your job to level each up through the “Restore” feature to become more powerful. You will need to look through the Restoration Effects to better pick and choose which effect you should prioritize.

For example, aWhistle’s levels 3 and 4offer “At regular intervals, Atk./Move Speed are greatly increased” and “Specialty Meter recovery During Combat (M),”which are massively beneficial for spec and gauge-based classes. At the same time,Crit Ratewill be a massive determining factor of Crucible’s rankings, as getting a fast kill time requires you to crit.

Optimal Progress

The best thing you can do is run Level 1 Elysian two, maybe three times to get new gear. Always equip the gear that is a direct upgrade, indicated by the up arrow on the piece of gear, and then press “Material Extr.” to dismantle the rest. The dismantled gear will give youRestoration Stonesrepresentative of their ranking, going from normal white quality to Ancient. In the early stages, their ranking will be heavily skewed towards the bottom end, with you having to get very lucky to get the higher-level equipment.

Don’t be scared of restoring each gear piece. You are restoring/advancing the slot itself, not the equipment. So, even if you have normal quality equipment, the level will persist when you change it out for higher-ranked gear.

After completing the first stage of Elysian a couple of times and upgrading some of your gear, your Paradise Power should be somewhere in the10,000-20,000range. At this point, you should be going to the Crucible to start unlocking the higher-level Elysian stages. Once that is done, use the final two+ attempts on the highest level Elysian stage (in the first week it’s level 3) to obtain slightly higher-ranked gear pieces to equip or dismantle.

This will be the cycle of things for each character every week. Your goal is to progress up the chain until you obtain the best gear possible to challenge yourself against the Crucible boss fights so you can rank higher in the leaderboards.
