Lost Ark and its November update will add the Reaper Advanced Class, Tripod System Update, and some festive feasts.
Lost Ark November Update Highlights the Reaper, Feasts with Friends, and Tripod Update
Heroes of Arkesia, welcome! It has been almost 10 months since the Western version ofLost Arkwas released to the public. Since then, we’ve had monthlymajor updatesandroadmaps teased. Just thisHalloween Seasonwe got tons of customizable outfits for every type of adventurer.
Come November, however, we can expect to finally be able to play theAssassin’s third advanced class, the ever-elusive Reaper.

Meet the Reaper
The primary highlight of the November Lost Ark update is definitely the Reaper. This advanced class plays quite differently from her other two assassin counterparts, theShadow HunterandDeathblade. Instead of transforming into a demonic monstrosity or unleashing heavy sword hits, the Reaper is much more subtle.
She wields a trusty Reaper Dagger (unofficial name, patent pending) and is a very fast-paced and agileclass. The Reaper can make use of this dagger to unleash a flurry of quick slashes. This class can also make use of Shadows to create illusions of herself which she can then teleport to or have them confuse the enemy. Lastly, since she is agile, she can also make use of acrobatic “Swoop” abilities.

Persona Three
Reapers’ class identity hinges on what is called the Normal, Persona, and Chaos Modes. The latter two modes have their own dedicated meters that fill up from normal hits, and dagger hits, respectively.
Normal mode features nothing special, really. If the Reaper chooses to enter Persona Mode, then this is where things get a bit more complex. Doing so will let the user enter stealth mode and have a shadow illusion take her place.

The Reaper will move quicker in this mode, and Swoop Skills will do increased damage depending on how long she remains in stealth. This mode is automatically canceled once she performs any attacks. No other class in Lost Ark has such functionality.
Chaos mode, on the other hand, encourages doing a ton of damage. The character will have substantial bonuses to Crit Rate, and Movement and Attack Speeds. While the initial duration is quite low (at 9 seconds), this can be extended with various dagger attacks or Shadow Skills.

Tools of the Trade
The Reaper in Lost Ark has their skills divided into three main categories, namely Dagger, Shadow, and Swoop.
Dagger skills are your run-of-the-mill damage-dealing abilities that focus mainly on the Reaper’s martial weapon. Nightmare lets the Reaper hurl her dagger toward an area, dealing damage. She can then teleport behind any target hit.

Shadow Skills in Lost Ark are more mystical and thrive in darkness. The Call of the Knife skill sends the Reaper’s dagger into the ground, erupting in magical damage. It also pulls enemies towards the center and reduces their movement speed. Distortion transforms the Reaper into a magical ball of energy, propelling them forward while also damaging every target encountered.
Last are the Swoop Skills. These lean on the more acrobatic side of Lost Ark, and are quite flashy. One highlighted skill is Dance of Fury. This ability makes the Reaper teleport around an area, dealing continuous damage. She also moves around quickly just like an anime character in this mode.
Frostmourne Hungers
Just like any other class in Lost Ark, the Reaper will have two class engravings that will drastically change her playstyle. She has the Hunger and the Lunar Voice engravings available to her.
The Hunger class engraving will substantially increase the rate at which the Chaos Meter fills up, promoting even more chaos. Since the mode can easily be activated, this is best paired with players who prefer sustained DPS. It also features a huge damage increase of 25% whenever the Chaos Meter gets fully filled.
Meanwhile, the Lunar Voice class engraving thrives on those who lurk in the shadows. As such, it greatly enhances the Persona Mode’s burst damage. It will increase Swoop skill damage by up to a whopping 160%, but at the tradeoff that it no longer gains strength the longer the Reaper is in Persona mode. This results in huge burst damage windows that can be activated at a whim.
Feasting on Tripods
In other Lost Ark November Update news, we can expect a few more things. First is a “Feast with Friends”. This Arkesian Feast celebrates bountiful harvests. It looks like there will be daily login rewards that players can stockpile for the coming winter months. Gotta be prepared to face off Brelshaza!
Next is the coveted update to theTripod System. These changes were initially teased back inJune of this year(along with theWitcher collaboration), but here’s the basic gist of it. The current system works in the sense that Gear has certain Tripod skill upgrades associated with them. These Tripods can then be transferred over to the character’s Inventory and be equipped.
Moving forward, these Tripods will no longer be linked to Weapons or Armor. Instead, they will be bound to the character itself. All of the existing gear’s tripods will get deleted, but everything in the Tripod Inventory will be considered learned. Anything learned can be equipped in the Skill Menu.
Lastly, the Lost Ark team has also confirmed that with the Reaper will come another Punika Powerpass and an even more hyper version of the Hyper Express Event. The Punika Powerpass will essentially level skip a character and instantly boost them to tier 3, at item level 1302. The only requirement for this is that the player has completed the quest “Berver’s Friend” on a different character.
The new Hyper Express Event, on the other hand, will be a series of missions and tasks that a character must accomplish. Any character at item level 1302 can be assigned to this event. Doing the associated tasks will grant tons of honing materials that will be enough to quickly propel them to item level 1445. Perfect to start doingValtan Hard ModeorVykas Normal.
The Final Ark is STILL Lost
Lost Ark’s November update is looking quite nice and simple. It is the calm before the storm in December, where we can expect the fourth Legion Commander Raid to make its appearance. We can also expect to summon more minions with the introduction of the final advanced class, the Summoner.
