Marvel’s Spider-Man 2players know that saving New York isn’t an easy task. And sometimes, it’s best to take a break and relax. On that note, players have been coming across a particular activity that lets Spidey give his senses a break by doing yoga with NPCs in a park.

The in-game event is rather unique and lets Spider-Man join a group of citizens practicing yoga. There’s some dialogue too, which adds to the fun of it. This is one of the many events that randomly trigger inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac seems to have done its part in making the city’s tinier details come out in interesting ways.
Yoga Is a Randomly Occurring Event in a Park in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
As players swing, glide, and run through the wonderful reincarnation of New York City in the game, they’ll often come across the daily routines and shenanigans of civilizations. However, some of the events are interactable, and Spider-Man can choose to engage with an individual or a crowd.
In one such instance, Spidey can stumble upon a group of yoga practitioners. If you choose to interact with them, all you need to do is press Triangle. Upon doing so, Spidey willjointwo other individuals who are following the yoga instructor’s guide to achieving those few moments of complete relaxation.

Players have spotted this event and played through a sweet little experience where Spidey follows in on the instructor’s guidance and completes a set of moves.
There’s even an introductory dialogue by the instructor, and Spidey responds to it:

We can’t blame him for taking a few minutes off from his otherwise stressful job. If a few yoga poses can help his spider-senses relax, so be it. The last time players felt the essence of yoga so closely in an open-world game was probably inGrand Theft Auto V,where one of the characters (Michael) chose to engage in a few moments of peace.
There Are Quite a Few Events and NPCs That Spider-Man Can Interact With in New York City
Did you know that if you decide to use the attack button (Square) on pedestrians instead of enemies, Spidey will do a quick wave or handshake?Marvel’s Spider-Man 2is vocal about such wholesome stuff. Some of these instances may even prompt the Triangle button for a different interaction. That’s not all, though. The more you explore New York, the more you find such events and interactions.
If you happen to get tired of swinging around inMarvel’s Spider-Man 2and wish to walk past pedestrians, you’re able to hear some interesting chatter between NPCs. These conversations are often fun and silly and deserve their own piece of attention. In fact, actors and developers have beenrespondingto the same, too.

AReddit postdiscusses the same, where a commenter (user Xeriam) funnily mentions what might have inspired the developers to do it:
…I feel like they called in some local comedians or just some staff into the booth, and went, “M’kay, we need background NPC conversations, your prompt is, ‘Experienced nanny coaches new nanny’, ad lib…”

A slightly more saneexampleof this is when you’re walking by and notice two mascots (cats in Spider-Man masks) happen to have a conversation and acknowledge Spidey’s presence as he is walking by. Voiced by Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk, these NPCs have an amusing conversation that simply adds so much life toMarvel’s Spider-Man 2’sday-to-day life.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2does a terrific job at making the world feel more happening and interactive, which is a good filler between serious missions and game objectives.
