Monster Hunter Wilds Layered Armor
In 2025, a new hunt will begin. FollowingMonster Hunter WorldandMonster Hunter Rise, the latest installment in Capcom’s saga will embark on a new journey with a release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, which we first saw at The Game Awards 2023.
Over the months, we’ve been able to glimpse some of the game’s new features, such as the Seikret mount or the new Doshaguma species.

In terms of gameplay, a couple of things have just been confirmed. There aren’t many specific details yet, but they reaffirm Capcom’s commitment to the right direction. This has been confirmed by the game’s director, Yuya Tokuda, in an interview with YouTuber Rurikhan.
A small preview: it’s very likely that we’ll have more DLC/expansions like Iceborne inMonster Hunter WorldandSunbreakinMonster Hunter Risein the future.

One of the Best Features in Monster Hunter Returns
Director Yuya Tokuda has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will feature layered armor, which was already present in Rise. Remember that these are purely cosmetic features, but ones that many fans of the saga love.
Not only that, but Tokuda also assures that there will be an exclusive layered armor, which will be released as DLC for the game. “Once you unlock it, you’ll be able to freely create any layered armor you want, and we also have plans for an extra special layered armor that will be available as DLC.”

You can rest assured, as the plan will remain the same. Capcom will not release paid DLC with gameplay enhancements, limiting premium content to aesthetic concepts.
Paid gameplay updates will come in the form of expansions or large DLCs, as was the case with Iceborne and Sunbreak, should they decide to do so. “We’re sticking with the same direction we’ve always had,” says Tokuda.
Monster Hunter Wildsis in development by Capcom and is set to release in 2025, reportedly early in the year, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
