Koei Tecmo this week hosted a fan event in Tokyo where they showed some gameplay of the upcoming action-RPGNioh 2.

Nioh 2 Livestream Shows Off Single-Player and Multiplayer PS4 Gameplay

During the livestream Koei Tecmo featured some gameplay for upcoming Nioh 2, showcasing some of the single-player combat. The gameplay showed a few differentweapontypes includingbowandSwitchglaive. But mid-way they also showed some of how multiplayer will work.

At the 30 minute mark you can see introduction to the character Azai Nagamasa, who transforms into a demon-like boss.

The multiplayer portion pits the players againstbossMakara Naotaka. We also see a bit of the Yokai cat creatureScampuss(shown at minute 56) that rolls around, following you into battle if you so happen to find him on your travels, and will provide you with a buff to Yokai Force generation.

Recently Team Ninja announced theLast Chance Trial, a timed demo which will take place from February 28th to March 1st, allowing players to try out three missions. In this trial players will be able to customise their character, summon some powerful Yokai to join them in battle and be able to take charge of theSwitchglaive.
