Hot of the tail of the Presentation Deep Dive, EA has released the Dynasty Deep Dive forCollege Football 26. This has a video to go along with it as well. The return of a Dynasty Mode for a college sport was implemented well with last year’s game, but the game will be going much deeper this year.Trophy Room, more Wear and Tear and the updated College Football Playoff format are just scratching the surface for Dynasty Mode. Having all these coaches will be a huge benefactor for the mode as well. A lot of community feedback has been implemented into Dynasty Mode for College Football 26.

Lifting the Level Cap off Dynasty

Dynasty Mode will feature more of what made last year so great. A big increase to a lot of things already instilled in the mode will help to open the doors for more immersion. There are also multiple quality of life improvements.Check some of these out below for an idea of the updates for Dynasty Mode inCollege Football 26.

These are just some of the updates in the mode. A lot more aspects across the board will be customizable. Sliders will be everyone’s friend in Dynasty Mode. This includes the customization of the Wear and Tear system, which has now has both season and career health pools.Once the seasonal pool is depleted, players can’t recover any health until the offseason. That size of the pool that replenishes gets smaller if the players aren’t managed well over their careers in college. Season health can be viewed anywhere that Wear and Tear is displayed. This can be done by simply hitting RS.

The Substitution Strategy

It has been revealed that quick, in-game substitutions will be a nice option to have during gameplay, but what if you have a philosophy? All of this tying into Wear and Tear, there will now be four strategies that can be selected with one being a custom option. This allows you to focus on depth or on star players. If you’re Georgia, you’re rotating on defense as much as possible. If you’re a program that relies on its few stars to grind out, you’re probably going to want them in as much as possible. Every hit counts, though.

One of the takeaways about these options is that, once again, the amount of ways to customize and tailor the experience to the way you want to play will be available in Dynasty Mode this year. As Scott Gallagher stated in ourinterview, the ideal thing is for the devs to present a solid way to play, but for the user to have the option to tweak it to the way they like it. And this isn’t just gameplay, this is going to be most of how Dynasty Mode is handled.

With new intros and lighting changes to broadcast overlays and a more pleasant font, there are a ton of aspects being added to CFB 26 presentation.

Incorporating the History of College Football

College Football 26will be bringing in a Trophy Room, but this is more than just starting empty and going forward. If a program has won trophies in the past, these will be in the Trophy Room.Fourteen authentic awards are being added including the Maxwell Award and the Walter Camp Award.Historical coaching stats from the FBS will be available in the game. This is known as College Football History and it is accessible from the Stats & Records tab of the Dynasty Hub. This dates back to Yale winning its first Natty.

College Football History features:

How do the Real Coaches Work in Dynasty Mode?

Players have two options when starting a Dynasty: Create a coach or use a coach. One thing the devs have made for certain is to ensure there are loads and loads of coaching attire to choose from. This has to be apparent with the coaches in the game. This isn’t Madden where they’re wearing a stock polo shirt and have a head scan. There’s visors, accessories and a lot of swag to deck your coach out with. Players can also add coach demeanor and coach stance to their customizations that will actually determine their personality on the field.

The difference this year for using a coach means you are getting one of 300 coaches. There’s 136 teams in the game, so doing the math, there are more coaches. This means that EA also signed on both real offensive and defensive coordinators. This also means they can join the coaching carousel and they all have their own playbooks and schemes specifically for the game.On top of this, there are playcalling tendencies, historical career stats, archetypes and abilities.Going with Georgia and Kirby Smart, you’re automatically inheriting all of their stats and will have a higher wall to climb to level them up. Creating a coach allows for crafting from the ground up, but this year the game is focusing more on benefitting from one archetype and punishing for attempting to spread out.

College Football 26 Gameplay Deep Dive Hits with Power

The big aspect that many will notice about the gameplay for College Football 26 is the amount of customization and adjustable options.

The Tactician archetype will now offer the highest XP ceiling, but only when consistently winning. Motivator and Recruiter will provide more consistent gains but a lower ceiling and maximum upside. There are also three new Program Builder abilities that provide more control over the hiring and retention process of Coordinators.

The goal for the College Football 26 dev team is to “Satisfy the Core Community” because “This is THEIR Game”.Dynasty has a ton of customization options that are fully detailed in the 76 PAGE Campus Huddle bloghere. This also breaks down the changes to Team Builder and goes even deeper with the Dynasty Mode options. We tried to provide a good overview of the highlights of this playbook for just this mode. The idea to correct bugs from last year with logic and go even deeper looks to be lining up for Dynasty Mode.
