Tom Holland has had great success in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the beloved web-slinger, which is also the reason the young actor decided to don the spider suit again forSpider-Man 4. However, some fans have taken this as an opportunity to start speculating about the film’s plot and cast, even though the majority of them are ecstatic to hear it.

Having said that, there have been whispers about a fourthSpider-Manmovie for a few months now. Numerous theories regarding it have already started to make the rounds on the internet. Not Andrew Garfield, butThe Impossiblestar is reportedly going to face off against Tom Hardy’s Venom inSpider-Man 4,as busted by an industry insider.

Although specifics are scarce, the mere thought of these two iconic characters appearing on the screen is sufficient to send chills down our spines. It begs a number of questions, like how their different skills will work in tandem or against one another. What kind of grudges might be born? Anyway, we will definitely know this with time.
Hardy’s deadly symbiote was previously only linked to the Sony-createdSpider-Manuniverse—not the MCU. Eddie Brock, also known as Venom, was introduced in the MCU viaSpider-Man: No WayHome’s post-credit scenes.Hence, in their respective parts, Holland and Hardy have both proven their mettle, perfectly encapsulating the spirit of the characters. Thus, it will be a delight to imagine their screen rapport and the sparks that will fly when they come face-to-face.

Spider-Man 4: Everything You Need To Know
WhileSpider-Man 4may be in the works, the release date forSpider-Man: No Way Home’sfollow-up is still unknown.Varietyreported in May 2023 that producer Amy Pascal stated a newSpider-Manflick would“of course” be made.
“We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”

Even Tom Holland, 27, acknowledged that things were still in the“very, very early stages” of development in June 2023. He informedVariety:
“I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations had, but at this point it’s very, very early stages.”

Thewriters’ strike in 2023caused a delay in the production of the fourth film, but Holland stated in December 2023 that things were starting to pick up again now that the strike was over. He toldCollider:
“All I can say is that we have been actively engaging in conversations about what it could potentially look like for a fourth rendition of my character. Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing.”
As of January 2024,Spider-Man 4may still be in development, but no release date has been set. While the different storylines for the upcoming fourth venture of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man might still be just speculation, Venom’s addition to the MCU is long overdue. But whenever Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock shows up against Spider-Man, we can be sure it’s going to be epic.
