If there’s one thing that Ubisoft does well with their multitude of franchises, it’s creating dense environments filled with exploration. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is no different, as the vast world the studio has created is ripe for adventure. Whether it’s the various unique enemies you’ll come across on your adventures or investigating reportedYokaiin the area, there feels like an overwhelming amount of content to dig your teeth into.
One such activity is participating in the numerous temples and shrines. Japan is a country of tradition and religion, at least back in the 1500s when Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes place. If you’ve ever been to the country, you’ll know that the number of temples and shrines feels infinite, and in Shadows, it’s well represented with some of the most iconic structures in the Kansai region.

Purpose of Temples & Shrines
With each of the temples and shrines, there will either be lost pages that need collecting or shrines that need to be prayed to. Doing so will unlock a good amount of EXP along with a Knowledge point that can be used to upgrade Nao and Yasuke. Some of these locations have surprisingly well-hidden collectibles, but with this guide you’ll have no problem finding them.
The Tofukuji Temple is found in the Yamashiro region of Japan. It is located immediately southeast of the city of Kyoto, across the river.

Despite looking relatively small, Tofukuji Temple is surprisingly large, especially when it comes to tracking these Lost Pages down. For the first one, we’ll get the easy one out of the way. Head to the southernmost entrance where the small pond and bridge are located. The first Lost Page can be found east of the bridge, below the lantern, just above the water.

The second one is surprisingly well hidden given it’s a collectible that seems to be thrown on the ground with very little regard for its contents. Head to the western part of the Tofukuji Temple, immediately left of the red icon on the map. There will be a large bell that Buddhist temples would use. The Lost Page is located behind it on the ground next to the railing.

This wouldn’t be a Lost Page guide without having to climb on the tiled roofs of an ancient Buddhist temple. The final Lost Page can be found parallel with the second one collected below the bell. Head immediately east of the bell until you hit a small building. You’ll need to climb this structure and at the top the Lost Page will be found on a small platform holding supplies.
