Assassin’s Creed Shadows Won’t Come to PS4 & Xbox One
Historically, Ubisoft is one of the companies that extends its releases the most after the arrival of new generation consoles, aiming to cover as much market as possible. Last year, Assassin’s Creed Mirage also debuted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, so the expectation is on what will happen with this year’s release, but there’s no good news.
Today,Ubisoftkicked off the promotional campaign forAssassin’s Creed Shadows, the new installment of the franchise inspired by Feudal Japan, and whose first teaser will be shown on Wednesday, May 15. By revealing some official details, the game’s official site onUbisoft’sdigital store mentioned that it would be available onPS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS4,but notXbox One, so it was considered strange that the French company skipped Microsoft’s past generation console.

According to previous reports,Assassin’s Creed Shadowswill mean a significant graphical leap for Ubisoft’s franchise, making it the first game in the IP to be considered current generation, a reason that would have sealed the fate of a possible version for past generation consoles.
Preceding the Ubisoft Forward
The unveiling ofAssassin’s Creed Shadowswill take place just before the Ubisoft Forward event, which the company will hold on June 10 at a specific time. It will be then when the gameplay of the game will be presented, according to another recent rumor. Obviously, the live stream will also have time to present new details of Star Wars: Outlaws, one of the biggest releases of the remaining year.
What is unknown is whether Assassin’s Creed Infinity, the hub promising to gather the upcoming games of the saga and which has been rumored to be some sort of subscription, will be discussed.
