Everything you need to know about the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta, the playable content included, system requirements, and more.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ Open Beta is going live in roughly a week, or sooner if you’re on PlayStation. Although quite limited in its scope, compared to the full-release version of Monster Hunter Wilds, the upcoming playable demo will feature quite a lot of content to go through. The Open Beta will feature full-fledged hunts against two new monsters coming to the series with MH Wilds:ChatacabraandDoshaguma. The Chatacabra hunt is more or less guided as it’s part of the main story’s opening. However, the Doshaguma hunt is completely unshackled, and will also feature full multiplayer as well as crossplay functionality.

On top of that, the Open Beta will feature the character creator, complete with all the options players will find in the full-release version of MH Wilds. In character creation, players can fully customize their Hunter as well as thePalico. Also, the character creation data from the demo can be carried over to the final release of Monster Huner Wilds. Capcom has also revealed the system specifications and storage requirements for the upcoming Open Beta. Here’s everything you need to know about the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta, the included playable content, system requirements, and more.
All Playable Content Included in Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta
The Open Beta includes the first major story arc, including the introductory hunt. The story content includes the opening cutscenes, weapon selection, and theChatacabrahunt. The hunt is meant to be a tutorial with guided prompts and can be replayed using different weapons to get a better feel of the game’s combat system. It should be noted that the main story content including the Chatacabra hunt doesn’t support any multiplayer features. The second major hunt that players can try out in the Open Beta is theDoshaguma. The Doshaguma quest features support for multiplayer, via theSOS beacon. The Open Beta also comes with crossplay support.
Apart from the hunts, the demo also features the character creator. Like the Dragon’s Dogma 2’s pre-release demo, the character creator in Monster Hunter Wilds’ Open Beta is fully representative of the final game. Players can customize their Hunter and Palico via the character creator. Additionally, in the demo, there’s no limit to how many times you can change your Hunter and Palico’s appearances. However, in the final game, there might be a limit as well as a price attached to doing so. Furthermore, the data from the demo’s character creator can be seamlessly imported into the final game.
