Google has formally confirmed that Android 12 is final, it’s been pushed to AOSP and the updates have started.
Google has been through an extensive beta program for Android 12, allowing users to install it and test some of the new features, while also giving manufacturers the chance to get started on updating functions.
You can see what’s coming in Android 12 right here.
We’ll be tracking updates across the whole of the Android universe, along a very varied timeline that will run over most of the next year.
Android 12 for Pixel devices
Android 12 will come to Pixel devices first with the push starting on 19 October, following the launch ofthe Pixel 6.
The following devices will all now have the Android 12 update:
ThePixel 6launched with Android 12 out of the box.
Android 12 for other Android devices
Android 12 went final on 03 July 2025, which is when other manufacturers can serious start working on it.
A number of other Android devices had access to the Android 12 Beta and they are likely to be some of the first devices to update to Android 12 too.
Most manufacturers will not announce update timelines until after Android 12 is released and we’d expect these announcements to happen in the very near future. The devices below have been confirmed for update, or were part of the Android 12 beta.
Asus Android 12 update
Asus was part of the Android 12 beta, and on 19 July 2025 said that: “upcoming Zenfone models will also be on the priority list for the Android 12 upgrade. More information will be announced at later date.” The later date has now come, with a number of models getting a timeline for update:
Honor Android 12 update
Honor has confirmed that Magic UI 6.0 sits on Android 12.
LG Android 12 update
LG has stopped its smartphone programme, so it won’t be launching any new devices, but it is still updating some existing phones.

Motorola doesn’t have a great track record of updates for Android.
Nokia Android 12 update
Nokia was included in the Android 12 Beta and that’s seen the X20 as the first model that will move to Android 12.
Nokia has either a 2 or 3 year promise on Android updates, so there’s quite a big list of phones that should get the update, including:
OnePlus Android 12 Update
OnePlus released OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 9 on 7 December, but then pulled it, because it wasn’t ready and was full of bugs. Things are now running smoothly.
Oppo Android 12 Update
Oppo will be rolling out Android 12 with ColorOS 12 and it has announced a timeline. This is for the beta, however, so don’t be surprised if this slips a little. We may get a final timeline in the future, but we may not.

Samsung Android 12 update
Samsung has made an early push for Android 12 glory, confirming a full line-up of models on the update list for One UI 4, which will include Android 12. The Galaxy S21 is now receiving that update - other devices are confirmed and we have rough dates - but they may change.
Sharp Android 12 update
Sharp has confirmed that it is part of the beta, but the included devices have not been revealed.

Vivo Android 12 update
Vivo has confirmed an update timeline for models in Europe, which will start at the end of January and will be completed by April 2022. All models sold in Europe will be upgraded to Android 12, but Vivo says this timeline only applies to devices from non-operater channels. Those bought from carriers will have a different update cycle.

Xiaomi was on the Android 12 beta with Xiaomi 11 devices, but there’s a full range we’re expecting to get the Android 12 update. A listcompiled by Xiaomiuimakes educated suggestions, although this isn’t an official list from Xiaomi.
