Wuthering Waveshas officially announced thePlayStation 5version. The successfulfree-to-play RPGdeveloped byKuro Gameshad already hinted at this since the title was mentioned among the PlayStation games atChinaJoy 2024, but until now, the console version had not been announced.
Wuthering Waves Coming to PS5
Wuthering Waves is afree open-world action RPGthat debuted on iOS, Android, and PC with its own client and on the Epic Games Store on May 22. It has been compared to Genshin Impact but with a greater focus on combat systems and has been praised for its world design, freedom of movement, and less intrusive “gacha” mechanics.
Wuthering Wavesachieved over 30 million pre-registrations before its launch and was the most downloaded title in 100 countries during its first week. At ChinaJoy 2024, it will be playable on PlayStation 5 for the first time, and the official account on X (Twitter) says they will announce “the official release date of the PS5 version at a later date.”

Our character will awaken in Solaris 3, a huge open world that you can explore with parkour movements and other tools, from wall jumps and climbing walls to a hook for quickly crossing the city. “Face enemy attacks in fluid and fast combat,” say its creators. “Apply simple controls for Extreme Evasion, Dodge Counterattack, Echo Skill, and unique QTE mechanisms that allow for the maximum battle experience.”
