Now, a brand-new AI-powered support assistant is being rolled out by YouTube to better help any creator who fears their account has been hacked or compromised.

Before now, users have been left to attempt to change their passwords, or use the Google Account recovery page, to restore their hacked accounts.

Some of the biggest names on the site have even used their large social media followings to contact YouTube directly for a quicker solution.

Only “eligible creators” allowed for now

This new “troubleshooting tool”, announced by YouTube on July 15, 2025, adds another layer of support in case the worst comes to pass.

Tucked away in the YouTube Help Center, the new tool will guide the user through a series of questions about them and their channel.

According toGoogle’s support pagefor the new feature, these questions will help secure access to your Google login, which is at the core of getting back control of your channel.

Then, any changes done to the affected account, which can include unauthorized video uploads, changes to your AdSense account, and details, made by the hacker will be undone.

For the time being, this new tool is only available in English. Additionally, only “eligible creators” will have access to the tool in the first place. However, Google does not clearly state the criteria required.

While it’s only available in English for now, Google is working on making it available to all creators going forward.
