Zenless Zone Zero Get Combat Trailer at Summer Game Fest
The latest trailer forZenless Zone Zerowas shown at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, featuring sword fighting against mecha enemies accompanied by an upbeat soundtrack. The Action-RPG featured a few different characters wielding swords and pulling off fight combos in a flashy new trailer. The Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse seems to be pulling out all the stops for this upcoming urbanistic game, which not only features human characters but also more anthropomorphic type characters part of different factions or houses.
It’s not just sword fighters but heavy guns, and hammer wielders shown in the footage. The contrast withGenshin Impactis quite big as Zenless is in a more modern urban setting of New Eridu and has plenty of gunslingers as well as robot type enemies. What they do have in common is their stylish approach to fighting, which still has a focus on melee combat.
In case you missed it ZZZ was announced in May this year, as anAction-RPGcoming to both mobile and PC. This is a brand new IP following up the very successful free to play title Genshin Impact. According to the website, Zenless is set in a metropolitan city following the events of an apocalyptic disaster caused by Hollows, other dimension portals. These portals seem to allow terrible monsters to pass through known as Ethereals. Instead of wielding Visions, characters have martial arts abilities, but also seem to wield some other tech when it comes to skills. The game looks more akin to the Honkai universe, but more down to earth rather than space-themed.
A new trailer forHonkai Star Railwas also revealed at Summer Game Fest.
