HoYoverse Brings Zenless Zone Zero to Xbox Series
After a successful launch in July onPS5, PC, andiOS/Androiddevices,Zenless Zone Zero—the new free-to-play action RPG fromHoYoverse, creators ofGenshin Impact—will also be arriving onXbox Seriessoon.
Previously exclusive toPS5, PC,and mobile platforms, the game is planned for a2025 release on Xbox, though more details will be shared during a livestream titled"Xbox Spotlight"scheduled forApril 11.
According toHoYoLAB, the developers confirmed the date and a few key details about the event. While we only know it’s coming to Xbox Series, it’s assumed this includes bothXbox Series X and S.

HoYoversecontinues to expand onto Xbox platforms, following the launch ofGenshin ImpactonXbox Serieslast November.Zenless Zone Zero, their latest anime-style urban cyberpunk action RPG, blends fast-pacedhack-and-slash combatwith accessible mechanics and a diverse, well-designed cast of characters.
Back inJuly 2024, it was revealed thatZenless Zone Zero’sPS5 exclusivity would last for aminimum of six monthsfrom its release date—meaning it couldn’t launch on other consoles untilJanuary 2025, per the terms of the exclusivity deal betweenHoYoverseandSony.
Xbox Reveal Coming in April
The announcement will be streamed onHoYoverse’s official YouTube channels(in English and Japanese), and also onTwitch.
During this livestream, we’ll get the exclusive reveal of theXbox Series versionalong with “exciting new updates you won’t want to miss.”
Zenless Zone Zerois currently available onPlayStation 5 via PlayStation Store,PC through the HoYoverse client and Epic Games Store, and oniOS and Androidsmartphones.
It remains to be seen whether this Xbox release will be accompanied byXbox Game Passsupport, although Microsoft’s recent focus on multiplatform and live-service games strongly suggests that could be the case.
